BAN vs PAK 3rd T20 HIGHLIGHTS: Bangladesh lose the 3rd T20I by 74 runs but clinch the series 2-1 on the night. Their first one against Pakistan.

Pakistan manage to avoid the clean sweep as they beat Bangladesh by 74 runs in Mirpur. Bangladesh did clinch the series 2-1, their first one against Pakistan but the visitors did manage to end the series on a high.

 

Put to bat first, Pakistan set a 179-run target for Bangladesh in the 3rd T20I in Mirpur as skipper Salman Agha ensured the visitors post a challenging total in the final encounter between the 2 sides.

 

Put to bat first, Pakistan openers Farhan and Saim got the visitors to a strong start in the powerplay, with Farhan straightaway going for the big hits and taking his side to 50 runs within the powerplay itself.

 

Saim too found his groove later on and found some boundaries across the field to support Farhan who reached his fifty in just 29 deliveries on the night. While Farhan carried on, Nasum got the first breakthrough after the powerplay as Saim's attempt to hit consecutive sixes got him out as he was caught over deep square on 21 runs.

 

The incoming batter Mohd Haris survived courtesy of a quick review when Nasum struck his pads and the umpire gave him out. The ultra edge showed a spike when the ball passed the glove and the batter was saved by the DRS. Haris was again dropped at 2 by Nasum but the spinner quickly made amends as he took out Farhan from the game in his next over, with the opener geting caught on 63.

 

Hasan Nawaz did try to elevate the run rate after coming in at number 4 but Haris couldn't support him well in the middle overs. He was sent back soon after by Taskin Ahmed on 5 runs, caught at third man.
